Zelda Valley

So I was simply driving a couple of miles away from home to a favorite Chinese food restaurant to pick up some Pad Thai for us. Everything was crusing just fine until suddenly everyone started to stop, I had to hard brake and I managed to stop, but the guy behind me could not, so BAM! I got rear ended and was sandwiched between two cars.

Bad news:

• The impact was hard enough to deploy the airbags, and the thing that contained the airbags went so fast it broke the entire windshield. The airbags were so dusty, I initially thought it was smoke, so I got out of the car as fast as I could, plus I was stunned.
• The windshield and the back of the car is all that’s damaged.
• It was difficult because within 20 months, two days out of 20 months I don’t bring a cell phone (bc they are routine 5 minute drives) and I get in an accident. Maybe that’s telling me something. I must be immune to accidents when I have a phone, but whenever I don’t, I get rear ended.

Good News:

• I’m completely okay, I only have tiny pieces of glass in my fingers that I’ll be getting out shortly.
• The car is able to run, and everything else functions fine, except for the broken tail light. I just can’t drive with airbags or cracked windshields.
• Because it wasn’t my fault, the insurance will take care of everything.

So, that’s what happened. On a side note, the tow truck driver that the policeman had requested tried to scam me to pay him 150 bucks AN HOUR to tow it to the body shop instead of his impound lot, even though I had a AAA card in my hand, and oddly enough he was wearing a AAA shirt, even though he claimed he wasn’t working for them.

And another funny thing happened as the police officer came. As we moved our cars into a parking lot off the road to let the traffic resume back to normal, another car accident happened in the exact same spot as we had been before directly in front of us.

Either people don’t know how to drive, or there are just too many cars in Southern California.

As you can tell, the look of Zelda Valley has been greatly changed!

I grew tired of the old red and black theme, so I settled for a simpler dark theme. But one thing led to another, and I purchased the CSS upgrade, changed most of the colors, and added a new background image in honor of Twin Links.

I’m not officially done with the changing of the layout, but you still get to see the general idea
