More about the game!

Well, since you all think this is a great idea, I’ll give you guys a bit more information.

This is essentially the current project, and in terms of development progress we’ve only scratched the surface. I’ll help introduce you to what we’re doing.

First and foremost - the game is a Role-Playing-Game. If you have played games such as Golden Sun, Final Fantasy, or Chrono Trigger, you then know what I mean by RPG.

For those who don’t, I’ll explain. Like traditional games, you’ll control Link, but everything will be skill based and experience based. You’ll be able to level him up, gain more powerful weapons. Some battles will be random, but many will be fixed. Battles will not be typical hack and slash, but instead be stat based.

Second - Everything will be based off the original five Stick Fantasy videos. We are even making our own game sprites to give it the stick fantasy feel, so you’ll see miniature stick versions of everyone.  If you know the storyline, you’ll have an easier time finding your way around, but there will be plenty of things you’ll have to do to advance to the next part of the story.

    Now this sounds like a more ambitious and better-developed project than I originally expected. At first I thought you were making a Flash mini-game, like those puzzle games you find in the web. But this sounds like a real LoZ game. If it turns out as 8-) as the pics, then you should consider getting your game noticed by a gaming company.

  5. Sorry for the double post, but if you want a free, Action/RPG game making engine, go with Engine 001 if RPG Maker doesn’t work out for you. Engine 001 is VERY easy to use, and theres a lot of extra content you can download on their site- http://engine001.com
